In his book, Create Abundance, Zhang Xinyue, teaches us how to keep our hearts open to new knowledge. He believes that we must continue to learn something new each day in order to be truly wise.
What Have You Learned?
Very often, adults stop learning by the time they are 25 years old. Perhaps they believe they already know everything they need to know. Maybe they are too busy to learn new things. The truly wise among us will continue to be students of Life for as long as they live. Because there’s something new and wonderful to learn and it’s just around the corner but you may miss it if you’re not looking for it.
Teachings from Create Abundance by Zhang Xinyue
It’s a mistake to keep your mind closed. Don’t keep your eyes and ears shut. You must embrace all that is around you. Some of it may not be beautiful. Some of it may not be grand. But it is all a part of our world. One ancient Chinese proverb says: “To know the road ahead, ask those returning.”
This proverb simply means that we cannot assume we have all the knowledge there is. There’s more to learn. There are people with stories to tell. They’ve had experiences that we have not had and may never have. We can learn from them if we will simply open our hearts, our eyes and our ears.
In Create Abundance, Zhang Xinyue offers many excellent teachings like this.
